About the event
In a constantly moving and ever more busy world, the demands placed on us by ourselves and the other people in our lives can often feel overwhelming and more than a little stressful. We sometimes tend to forget to take time out for ourselves to reflect on the things that are actually most important to us and to think about how we can more effectively 'protect' our own time without feeling guilty or that we are being uncaring towards others.
Boundaries are the things that we establish to protect ourselves and keep ourselves safe; they also help us to tell others how we would like to be treated, and how we will treat other people. They are not necessarily the big, heavy metaphorical walls that we build to keep people out; rather the clear and simple guidelines that help us better navigate the complex relationships that surround us all on a daily basis.
This four-hour reflective workshop intends to provide you with time and space to remind yourself about the important things in your life and how these link to the behaviours that other people see in you. It will also give you the opportunity to think about the connections between your values, behaviours and boundaries and will encourage you to consider how you can better communicate your own boundaries with those around you in your quest to sustain positive and effective relationships in all aspects of your life.
Whether you are a sports coach thinking about how you can better manage relationships with your athletes, their parents or guardians; a manager wondering how you can be more effective at supporting your teams; a business owner thinking about how to sustain better connections with your clients; or you are simply a curious individual wanting a few hours of guided reflection...this event is for you.
This event comes with the added bonus of taking place at Swallowfield Equestrian Centre, a vibrant and busy livery, training and competition centre surrounded by peaceful countryside, the hum of nature and 30+ beautiful horses. There will be an opportunity during the course of the session, to have a wander around the yard, get up close with a couple of horses, watch some riding in action...or even book your own lesson. Swallowfield is the home and business of UKCC Level 4 dressage coach, Jo Swain, who will also be providing the most amazing lunch on the day.
Take the plunge, be curious, be bold and book your place today.
